It sold for $642!!! Must be gold-plated to fetch such a high price. Very
creative ad by the seller probably helped.

That's pretty close to average for a R8 on eBay, though they have gone for
as little as $425 and as much as $760. R8A's average around $850 and R8B's
around $1200, though one did go for $2550. Universal Radio has a R8B
currently listed in their used section for $1320, so they're not cheap
anywhere anymore.
