Started listening earlier this morning 1345UT, through to 1530, and the results
possibly reflect the time spent on it. My impression was that sunrise
enhancement wasn't as "good" as yesterday in raw strength and number of
signals, but there were some interesting ones. In general, I suspect raw
strength was at a premium throughout the period, and as Walt surmised, the
lower band was better before 1500UT.

In general, lots heard, but they needed work.

pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):

774 JOUB
828 JOBB

reasonable audios at several times during the period (though often battling
w/splash or noise):

279 R. Rossii
567 JOxx
594 JOAK
711 HL xx; KK talk by man, faded back up several times after 1415UT
747 JOIB; didn't even make it to this strength until 1430UT
873 JOGB //828 at 1414UT, and at other times previous to 1500UT
972 HLCA usual huge carrier, weakish audio; still audio traces to be heard at
1714UT, but followed by a deep fade
1098 unID w/mx at 1531, don't think it was Taiwan, as not //7185 at this time;
weak talk a little later sounded CC;
1395 slow vocal pop mx at 1532UT; very unusual channel on which to hear
anything at home
1566 HLAZ (like 972, and not until 1539UT); still a healthy carrier at 1736UT
1575 likely Thailand at 1430UT, not all that strong a signal this morning

not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:

153 and 189 R. Rossii
558 likely JOCR
585 JOxx //567
603 need to catch this one past the hour; S. Korea seems most likely
639 CNR1//5030
648 mx at 1419, likely V of Russia
657 monster hum concealing the audio, likely N. Korea
693 JOxx //774
738 big carrier, FF talk by man at 1357 would be Tahiti; the anomaly of the
morning
954 likely JOxx
1134 a bit of a mess, nothing really dominant
1206 mostly hum, some broken up talk coming through at 1522, likely China
1377 CNR1//5030 at 1424; didn't seem to be // earlier
1386 NHK2 //828 at 1412 UT
1503 JOxx //594 at 1520UT
1557 WYFR with the usual slow talking deep-voiced man
1593 CNR1//5030 at 1405

Burbles in the splatter and noise:
702 NHK2 // 828
945 CNR1 //5030 at 1527
1098 big carrier as always, but two stations here seemed to be from Asia, and
pretty sure one was Taiwan //7185, but pretty murky
1404 mostly hum, but some mx there as well
1485 man talking, too echoey to tell language, at 1536UT
1512 talk at 1535UT might have been CC, but too murky to tell

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):
1008, 1188, 1359, 1467, 1521

best wishes,

Nick
