I just checked the NHK website, and the schedule shows the second
network silent midnight to 5 am local time (2000-1500 UT) every day (or
more correctly, nothing is listed during that time period). Thanks for
noticing, Nick. I'm coming out with a new PAL soon, so this change will
need to be noted.

data gathering. Yes, NHK2 is again signing off at 1500UT now, at least on
weekdays, and HLAZ-1566 can be heard here if one tunes in at 1230UT for the
beginning of the Japanese broadcast, with both FEBC and HLAZ IDs. (and VoA-1575
was doing well at the same time with an English introduction to the Lao
broadcast then)
