The FCC rules have changed a lot in the last 30-40 years. The QM has increased a lot. But the FCC does not really protect the stations coverage areas like they used to. KFI 640 had no QRM as they owned the West. But stations for the most part do not care about out of market listeners like they once did. Back 30-40 years ago, no way would there have been a station on 1130 khz running 25 KW days with CKWX 1130 & KPNW-1120. It would not have been OKed.
