The K index had jumped to 3 this morning, and the solar wind jumped also, and it's amazing what a difference that made in conditions. Today likely provided the best X-band conditions from Australia in several years, but at the same time the Japanese provided their best signals of the past few days. The trans-polar stuff was not to be seen.
