Hi Walt, The 1610-Anguilla station has always been // to 6090 kHz every time I've heard it, which is usually the only way I can get positive identification. As you know, 1610 kHz can be a real jungle with all the TIS/ HAR stations on the frequency, like the Yakima area TIS, and the eastern Oregon NOAA weather station. The weather station near Aberdeen also is a frequent visitor here. 73, Gary In a message dated 2/17/2010 5:37:41 P.M. Pacific Standard Time, [email protected] writes:
At 01:30 UTC (5:30 pm local on the west coast), I'm hearing some music mixing with several TIS stations and splatter from the Hindi station on 1600. I suspect that it's the Caribbean Beacon, but will have to keep listening to be sure. Gene or Melissa Scott usually had fill music in between sermons. Should they be // to 6090? ...Walt Salmaniw, Victoria, BC _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected] _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
