I have a Sony ICD-UX70. I've used it occasionally to record from an Ultralight, somewhat more often recording via mike input from the car radio. In terms of recording audio either way, it works very well.
My biggest complaint is that because it runs on a single AAA battery, it eats them up. Simply leaving the battery in the unit ( and therefore leaving the clock running ) and doing nothing else will run through the battery in about 3 weeks. In actual use, you need to have a stock of spare batteries handy. I also have a Sony mp3 player which has a recording feature, but so far I haven't tried that for DX.
