Would it be worth trying for the 1566 India station from near San Diego, CA?
Or would the IBOC from 1580 KMIK, which is 50kW from 300 miles east of me with
a directional antenna pointed right at me, render the frequency unusable?  (I
haven't been able to log HLAZ from S Korea, either, which is on the same
frequency.)
On the other hand, though, I was able, one time this past fall, to receive 594
JOAK Tokyo, Japan, in spite of being only 7.7 miles east of IBOC-spewing 5kW
600 KOGO, using a PL-380 and Select-A-Tenna, so I guess anything's possible?
Also when should I start checking for more ULR TPs - when does the spring
season get underway?

Also, is there ever a chance of there being a ULR summit in Southern
California, specifically San Diego area?  If there was one, and it was at a
convenient time, I would consider attending.

Allen Willie, who lives in NL, may have had India as well.  Jim
