I was stationed at Beale AFB, near Marysville CA, in
1969.  KOMA was audible every night until around OKC
sunrise. It was nice to be able to hear news from
back home.  Oddly, when back home in Oklahoma I
rarely listened to KOMA, preferring WKY instead. 

KVOO could be heard most night with a weaker signal.
 But it was easier to hear DX signals then than on
today's cluttered AM band.
