Thanks Nick

Only once when my first line was too short and I had to connect two coax cables
with an SO 239 fem-fem barrel connector. One thing I want to do is run one line
from balun to the outside 239 with no connector. Tnx for help. George in VA

Have you experience with using the  PL-259 (mating to the SO-239)
connectors outdoors George?   The feedthrough idea is a good one, but
I believe some connectors are better than others for
resisting  intrusion by rain and other nasty weather.  Some people
coat them with rubber tape (Bishop's tape etc.).  I'm not an expert
on the subject; my BNC's outdoors are either coated or under an
overhang to keep most of the rain off, and they seem to be doing OK.

best wishes,

Nick
