My best years for QSL'ing were when I was into the hobby at full throttle, from
the spring/summer of 1988 and for about a decade after that.  First QSL I ever
got was from WOWO, for a sunset reception from Iowa City on 2/27/1988.  Most
distant QSL (approx. 1386 mies) was for a wee-hours reception of KOMO from
rural Oakland, IA on 2/27/1989.  My best QSL ever had to be from the DX test
of WKBR-1250 in Manchester, NH on 3/6/1995.

But, of course, since about the late 1990s, the rate of stations replying to
QSL requests has been rapidly declining.  I sent out 7 letters in 2011, and
only 1 (KBRF-1250) bothered to respond.  Streaming of audio has taken a lot of
the novelty out of what was once the most enjoyable aspect of DXing.

Hey All ,Was just looking at my QSL collection and wondering, What where your
best years for QSLing? That is, did you get more in any one year then in some
other? My best year to date(so far) was `09 with just under a dozen. Just a
thought. Good dx to all, Robbie in Wyoming (about 200 miles north-east of
S.L.C. UT.)
