Saturday March 10, 2012 All, What a fun night even if I did not hear KBOI and
KOTZ, but the hunt was a lot of fun and like the good old days. I had KBOI
years ago in NJ when they were on 950 with 5k? How in the world was that
possible..oh yeah...it was in the 60s! Haha. Only new one caught last night was
WKAQ 580 San Juan, PR. The tone on 670 which I was hoping was KBOI turns out
to be a het from Cuba...figured it was too strong to be Idaho and never did
hear code id's etc. Great catches to those who did hear them.
Did anyone hear KOTZ? I was listening online...what a great test! Funny sounds,
music and tones, busy phone signals...and nice vox ID's giving directions as to
how to apply for a QSL. Thanks to Pierre Lonewolf. Maybe we can try it again
when the sun is not hiccuping! George in NoVa
