I have a WiFi radio -- that is a table top - that I use every couple of
weeks for a few minutes here and there.

Most of the time it works - some of the time it doesn't. I cannot depend on
it - and it could be the age of
the unit -- it is at least 3 years old.

I have never depended on the internet for radio communications of any kind
- because you are one
fiber optic cable away from complete isolation from the rest of the World...
which might explain why I have over a dozen analog radios.
