DXing on the internet is not that interesting. hi. I like it for general listening to stations around the World and it sounds perfect for listening to the radio lying in bed. The older Logitech Squreezebox seems to be less expensive. I guess they have a new model out now.
It does work well. For DXing, I did set a private stream of the SDR-14 I had in New Bedford which is 30+ miles from my house. By connecting to the computer there by PC Anywhere I could tune the SDR receiver and hear the audio by the private stream. I think I did mention a specific reception so others could hear it. A private stream can be very useful.
For entertainment, my personal private stream plays around 4,500 different songs that I personally like. It also plays top of the hour recorded NPR or BBC news at xx:10 after each hour. No commercials, nothing plays I don't like. In many ways it's far better than any local or DX stations for entertainment.
