While trying to hear stations for the 2015-2016 IRCA DX contest I was able to
catch two new stations this morning. 540 KVIP Redding, CA was heard with call
letter ID at 1059 EDT on the Eastern bog. Heard and verified when I lived in
the SF Bay Area in California back in the late 60's, but first time here in
Washington. One minute later caught a call letter ID from 570 KCFJ Alturas, CA.
Covering KVI Seattle on the Eastern beverage. KCFJ & KVI have been battling it
out for the last 25 minutes. Best regards,
