The Japanese and Korean big guns were once again well represented during the
dawn session but the second-tier Asians continued to drop off in strength and
variety. The regulars on 594, 693, 747, 774, 828, 972, 1053 and 1566 were in
and out of good audio as usual from 1430-1515 but the Chinese were missing in
action, while 603, 657 and 738 could only manage ghostly audio on peaks. The
Chinese propagation that was pretty good a couple days ago has now fizzled out
completely with the exception of a strong carrier on 1593 (that couldn't quite
manage audio through Seattle splatter). Of course for most of November
conditions were much worse, so maybe we should be thankful for the NHK big
guns?
