<<< Hi Gary, I was actually still feeling ragged out from a long day of travel the day before, so I felt like it was an abbreviated session. Most of the action did appear to be on the lower part of the band. I did not have it together enough to do any recording during that session. I hope to do some recording during the next session. The FSL really makes all the difference! The condo I'm staying in does face none, so I intend to do some AK DXing as well. I appreciate the tips and insights! Thankfully, I'll be here a while. I intend to allocate some dedicated TP DX time both here on Kauai and later in Kona.
73 Craig Barnes Kauai, HI Sent from my iPhone >>> Yes, Craig, I remember traveling from Seattle to Kona on April 8th, arriving in our room about 11 PM (after a 10-hour trip). I really didn't feel like doing anything except sleeping-- until I heard the S7 signals from 540-Samoa and 621-Tuvalu on the hot-rodded CC Skywave alone. After hearing the FSL boost on their signals (up to S9+) sleep suddenly didn't seem very important. Happy hunting!
