I'll add my favourite Hawaiian DX story. This one was from Maui, Kaanapali to be exact. Bought myself a GE Super Radio at Kmart or Walmart on the island, and proceeded to have a wonderful time DXing the mainland from LSS for many hours. The bands were alive with something to be heard on every frequency. That radio was one hot performer, and the audio was sweet. Heard Alaskans to Mexico, and everything in between. Sitting on the lanai with the tropical breeze blowing. Heaven it was! This was all before the noise of plasma TVs, energy saving lights, etc. 73,...Walt
