A dream here in IL is to log a DU on an even channel! I've had several TA's
on even channels getting past domestics but to get any DU on any channel is
non-trivial. The DU cx last season from mid Sept to early Oct were
considerably better than I'd ever seen them in more than two decades here
in IL. Several mornings had audio on 612 clear enough to copy some of it
and there was also audio on 576 and 594 in the low band as well as many
carriers so I listened carefully to my recordings on 630 as there's a
strong Aussie in the NE part of the country in a coastal location which can
ideally propagate. But I couldn't find a trace thru domestics. Note that
the ABC news trumpet-like sounder cuts thru QRM well, but there's no trace
of it.
