Conditions were generally poor until just before sunrise, when a couple
of things happened:
- The NHK stations on 747 774 and 828 made late showings starting at
about 1315 UT.
- There was a brief but interesting sunrise enhancement at the high end
of the band, which lasted for a few minutes (roughly 1330-1340).
Here's the interesting stuff:
1323 CHINA, CRI (presumed) 1330 weak woman talking, language sounded
like Russian
1332 JAPAN, JOSF, 1337 woman in Japanese, sometimes guitar in
background, fair on peaks
1386 JAPAN, NHK2, 1332 Chinese lesson poor //774
1404 JAPAN, 1332-1335 man & woman in Japanese, fair on peaks, very
erratic signal w/much domestic splash, probably JOVR
1422 JAPAN, JORF, 1335 man & woman in Japanese, fair on peaks w/much
1420 splash
1494 UNID, 1338 female talk fair strength but much 1490 splash.
Unable to ID language. Possibly two stations mixing.
1503 JAPAN, JOUK, 1329-1338 presumed with weak talk
1512 UNID, 1335 bits of audio trying to poke through KGA splash
1557 TAIWAN?, 1336 Chinese talk fair-poor
1566 S KOREA, HLAZ, 1338 man in Japanese, 1343 woman with the usual
closing announcement, good
