----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Irish Fencing Forum
----------------------------------------------------------- From: PostpaidPBH Message 5 in Discussion I think this is due to the taping problem we theorised last week. Here's a timeline of events: 1) Point of weapon hits, but blade bends so much that uninsulated part hit jacket before 15ms depression time is achieved. 2) Hit does not register due to grounding on the jacket. 3) Fencer withdraws arm, blade no longer in contact with lame. 15ms later light goes off. End result: apparently light only goes off when fencer withdraws arm. Morals of the story: a) Tape up your foil! I'd recomend at least 20cm b) Stop hitting so hard! ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/IrishFencingForum/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
