I'm personally not convinced that the lightweight pistes have "proved" 
themselves. They are still very new and we don't know how they are going to 
stand up to several years worth of wear and tear. Personally I still like the 
original rational behind the purchase of the plate piste. Assuming it's not 
"stolen" it will effectivly last forever. Unlike copper or Artos or any other 
"rolled" piste, which has a usefull lifespan measured in years rather then 
decades.
