Sabah deputy CM resigns Apr 13, 07 12:07pm

Sabah Deputy Minister Chong Kah Kiat today announced his resignation from the
state cabinet citing differences with Chief Minister Musa Aman.
According to Bernama, the 59-year-old politician said he will remain as state
assemblyperson for Tanjung Kapor.
Chong, who is the former president of the Sabah Liberal Democratic Party, was
also the state's tourism, culture and environment minister.
The politician, who holds a masters in law, was also a former chief minister of
Sabah from March 2001 until March 2003.
Chong also held a federal post as minister in the prime minister's department
from 1995 to 1999. He resigned from the post to contest in the Sabah state
election.
