Akhbar The Star 15 Feb 2011 melaporkan terdapat TIGA sekolah di Tawau, Sabah yang diisytiharkan TIDAK SELAMAT/BAHAYA sejak setahun yang lalu. Tapi 1000 pelajar ini tiada pilihan untuk meneruskan pengajian di bangunan sekolah yang tidak selamat ini. Agaknya nak tunggu Pilihanraya Kecil di Tawau, Sabah pula? Apa guna ada Naib Presiden Umno orang Sabah? Tak pe, Sabah kawasan Selamat Umno.
Tuesday February 15, 2011 Buildings unsafe, but 1,000 pupils still attending school KOTA KINABALU: Three primary school buildings in the east coast of Tawau have been declared unsafe for about a year but at least 1,000 pupils are continuing to attend classes there.
