Bukannya menyuruh orang ramai memberkas saspek, sepatutnya meminta orang ramai melaporkan segera jika ternampak saspek. Pihak polis juga sepatutnya menambahkan lagi rondaan, bukan banyak membuat road block bila Bob Lokman berceramah macam di Paroi baru-baru ini, bayangkan 4 tempat roadblock nak pergi program Bob Lokman. Make citizen's arrest Thursday, April 7th, 2011 ...but exercise caution with acid-splashers, police warn KUALA LUMPUR: The public can make a citizen's arrest of the suspects involved in the recent "acid-splashing" incidents by motorcyclists, says KL city CID chief Datuk Ku Chin Wah. "However, the public must exercise extreme caution as they are dangerous criminals," he told The Malay Mail yesterday. "Should such suspects be apprehended, it is best to hand them over to police straight away." When asked if police would offer any reward for information leading to the capture of the acid-splashers, Ku said the reward would not be monetary. "Of course, we will consider some kind of reward for those who come forward to help us nab these culprits, but it won't be money. "We urge those with information to contact the nearest police station." Last Saturday night, a housewife and her niece in Mantin, Negri Sembilan became the 15th and 16th victims, respectively, of "splash-and-run" motorcyclists that surfaced four times in KL over the past month. In the Mantin case, the suspects were said to be two heavyset men of dark complexion wearing green uniforms and badges resembling Rela uniforms. They also wore black boots and their bike was a red Yamaha Lagenda. Police have not ruled out the possibility the attack in Mantin could be linked to the cases in KL. In the first case, eight pupils and a teacher were splashed with "burning liquid" in Bangsar on the afternoon of March 2. Two marketing executives suffered burns near Jalan Tun Sambanthan in Brickfields on the evening of March 24. A history teacher suffered burns near Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad also in Brickfields on the morning of March 25, and a Frenchman and his female companion were similarly attacked at Jalan Conlay the day after. http://www.mmail.com.my/content/68779-make-citizens-arrest Method used in Mantin similar to that of KL 'splash-and-run' cases Tuesday, April 5th, 2011 14:12:00 KUALA LUMPUR: Police have not ruled out the possibility the latest liquid-splashing attack by motorcyclists in Mantin, Negri Sembilan on Saturday could have been carried out by the same culprits in the four splash-and-run cases in Bangsar and Brickfields here from March 2 to 26. Dang Wangi police chief ACP Zulkarnain Abdul Rahman, Sentul police chief ACP Zakaria Pagan and Brickfields police chief ACP Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid, when contacted separately by The Malay Mail yesterday, said the method used by the two men in the Mantin case was similar to the other cases. The police chiefs said they would be working with their Negri Sembilan counterparts until the culprits were caught. On Sunday, Seremban police chief ACP Saiful Azly Kamaruddin had said the Mantin case was the first involving a caustic chemical in the district. On Saturday night a housewife from Mantin and her niece became the 15th and 16th victims of mysterious motorcycling liquid-splashers. Zuhainah Tengkis, 27, and Shakilla Sulaiman, 18, were on their way home from Jalan Mantin to Batu Lima at 9pm when two "fat" men with dark complexion rode alongside them on a motorcycle and said "Hi" and splashed "burning liquid" on them. Zuhainah suffered a swollen eye, burns on her face, chest and hands and is under intensive care at Hospital Kuala Lumpur. She told The Malay Mail the two men were in green uniforms with badges resembling Rela's, had black boots, and their motorcycle was a red-coloured Yamaha Lagenda. The KL attacks began on the afternoon on March 2 when eight pupils and a teacher in Bangsar were splashed with burning liquid. After that, three women were attacked in Brickfields on consecutive days: two marketing executives near Jalan Tun Sambanthan on the evening of March 24, and a history teacher near Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad on the morning of March 25. And on the afternoon of March 26, a Frenchman and his female companion were attacked by liquid-splashing motorcyclists in Jalan Conlay here.
