Pengarah Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah (JSJ) Bukit Aman, Datuk Seri Mohd Bakri Zinin hari ini memberitahu orang ramai agar jangan mendengar khabar angin atau membuat spekulasi apa yang menyebabkan pasangan penunggang motosikal menyerang asid secara rambang kepada mangsa yang tidak bersalah di Lembah Klang dan Negeri Sembilan.
14 orang telah diserang dengan asid di Lembah Klang dan 2 orang di Seremban setakat ini. HELLO POLIS ! Orang ramai mana ada buat khabar angin. Ini adalah fakta kes yang disiarkan dalam akhbar. Apa motif penyerang tersebut melakukan tindakan demikian, polislah kena siasat. Kenapa ? Polis dah kecewa sangat ke tak dapat selesaikan kes ini hingga nak marah orang ramai yang mendengar khabar angin dan buat spekulasi. Khabar angin apa ? Spekulasi apa ? Ce cite , ce cite ! POLICE: DON'T LISTEN TO RUMOURS ON ACID-SPLASHERS Friday, April 8th, 2011 12:55:00 KUALA LUMPUR: Don't listen to rumours or speculate on what motivated motorcyclists to randomly splash acid on innocent victims in the Klang Valley and Negri Sembilan. Instead, Federal CID director Commissioner urged the public to come forward and help police nab the suspects. "Please don't believe rumours or spread them about what influenced the suspects to do what they did. It's best to let police and the public work together to detain those responsible for these attacks." So far, 16 people have been burnt and bruised by these attacks, many of them being scarred on their faces and bodies. In the first case, eight pupils and a teacher were splashed with "burning liquid" in Bangsar on the afternoon of March 2. Next, on consecutive days in Brickfields, two marketing executives suffered burns near Jalan Tun Sambanthan on the evening of March 24, followed by a history teacher who also suffered burns near Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad on the morning of March 25. On the afternoon of March 26, a Frenchman and his female companion were similarly attacked at Jalan Conlay also in KL. The latest victims were a housewife and her niece on the night of April 2 in Mantin, Negri Sembilan. The housewife, who suffered burns on her face and body, gave the most detailed clues on their attackers: Two heavyset men of dark complexion in green uniforms and badges resembling Rela uniforms, also wearing black boots, and riding a red Yamaha Lagenda.
