What is more barbaric? stoning
a culprit to death or letting thousands commit adultery? Thsi punishment is so
harsh as to be a deterrent because adultery is so destructive tothe
society.

I know adultery is one of the major sins
in Islam. This subject crops up in the forums quite frequently. I do not know
exactly what is the standing of Islam on this. Can somebody in the forum
who has a objective view of Islam & Muslims (No hidden agendas please)
explain to us whether for or against it giving evidence from the Quran
& the Sunnah (Hadiths).

This punishment
of stoning to death (Rajam) is a pre-Islamic practice
that does not find
any reference in the Quran. It does, however, find
a reference in the
Sunnah (Bukhari, Muslim, Muatta, Musnad Ahmad, Abu
Dawud, Tirmidhi,
An-Nasaai).
The MMA in our country supports the punishment of
stoning to death.
This can be clearly seen by the website of the Jamiat
which
says "Stoning to death for adultery is part of the Shariah's penal
code, whether we like it or not ! Muslims should not be apologetic
about any law of the Shariah as it is not the product of the human
mind, but it is divinely revealed."

you watch the video of an actual stoning to death, I want to
ask you
whether you want to support an organization that supports
such
barbarity. I would like JP Cupp and Bin Razi especially to
answer this
question.
