Peace be upon you, Jabir Ibn Abdullah said that they were once sitting with the Prophet when he asked them, `Shall I tell you about the rooms in the houses of Paradise?'
They replied, `O yes, Prophet of Allah, you are dearer to us than our fathers and our mothers' He said, `Allah the Exalted has created the rooms of Paradise from all kinds of jewels. You can see them from the outside just as you can see them from the inside. They contain a variety of pleasures that no eye has ever seen; nor any ear has ever heard; nor has ever occurred to the hearts of any human being' Jabir asked, `Who occupies these rooms, O Prophet of Allah?' He said, `It is for those who propagate salutations and greetings, offer food, fast frequently and pray at night while others are fast asleep' Jabir asked, `And who is steadfast enough to tolerate all of these things O Prophet of Allah?' He replied, `My followers tolerate that Jabir: Those who meet a fellow and greet him has propagated greetings; those who fed their wives and children until they are satisfied is considered to have offered food; those who fast the month of Ramadan and another three days each month are considered to have fasted frequently; and those who perfom the night prayers as well as the dawn prayers in a group is considered to have performed prayers whilst other people are asleep' [Abu Dawood, Daleel al-Saileen, p 509] May Allah Almighty have mercy on us all, ameen.
