Hey Willem,
Hope you are well and glad to see you are using scanner !
Your observation is indeed correct. You must remove the raw packet driver
from 5.8 if you want to re-intsall the new one. The uninstal doesn't touch
network settings. This must be done from the services tab, under the
networks tab in control panel. However don't fear, the raw packet driver
iss.sys hasn't changed and so you can still use the old one.
This is used for checks like IP spoofing and other checks that need to be
initiated from layer 2. You will get an error "iss32.dll" could not be
loaded if you open scanner and try to run these checks.

I installed scanner 6 on a Windows NT where scanner 5 has been installed
too. Before installing the scanner 6, i removed the scanner 5 software
including the Raw packet driver using the normal uninstall windows processes
(SETTINGS -> CONTROL PANEL ->ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS and SETTING -> NETWORK ->
SERVICES).

After installing scanner 6, which went ok. I wanted to install the raw
packet driver. Unfortunatly i received the errorcode
"registry service subkey already excist" and no raw packet driver is
installed.

Any suggestions which registry key must be removed. Apparently the uninstall
of the scanner5 did not remove everything.

Cheers,
Willem
