Hi Norbert,

very interesting, because we have received reports that running 6.01
xpu7 in LAN/WAN coupled (slow) networks with many hosts down. We have an
open
call at ISS for that one. One of their hints was that a large number
of hosts down eats up a lot of memory. We had no chance to monitor the
event ourselves and could not reproduce this so far. What machine are
you
running on? Did you monitor system cpu and memory? What about scanner
options? Did you have netstat running and monitor the output? We are
very much interested to learn more about this strange behaviour. Which
policy did you use? What checks were active when the scanner stopped?
Did you check diagnostic logs? Any more ideas?
