I have the same problem when scanning with the version 6 product and specifying
an address range that excludes broadcast addresses. This is not a problem when
using the version 5 product. Scanner 6 usually (95% of the time) hangs on the
22nd address in the list. CPU usage on Scanner drops to zero and System Idle
Process pegs at 99%. The only recovery is to Kill Scanner 6 with the Task
Manager.

Hello,
we have an ongoing problem with the Internet Scanner. The problem occurs
when we use a host file to address the hosts to be scanned and when some of
those addresses are not reachable during the scan. The scanner just stops
working what you can see because there is no more access to any of the
tmp-files in the tmp-dir. This doesnt happen with every target network. But
with some target networks this happens again and again. It doesnt matter,
how many hosts are addressed in the file. It can be several hundred as well
as just a few. We did also change the scanning host but this didnt help.
Did anybody else see this strange behaviour? Any ideas to solve this are
appreciated.
