I tend to prefer to run all checks against all systems for the reasons
mentioned before.
However ISS staff have strongly argued for sorting systems by type and then
scanning them by type. So it behoves ISs to change its stand or to improve the
methods for detecting system types since Real world fact - inventories are
often inaccurate.
I would normally prefer then check for service and scan by serve. IE why enable
or disable the "WEB HOST" set of tests when do ing a "full" scan. If there is
a web server run them, if not, don't.
