Hello Kimberly, Today is the first time that we have received these questions. I have checked our incoming mail and the email you sent today is the first piece of mail we have received from you email address in past couple of months. As today is the first time we received your request we would appreciate the time to be able to work on it before you started stating that we were unresponsive. Now to answer your questions: Yes there are several checks inside of Internet Scanner version 6.2 with XPU 5.1 that will detect the presence of wireless access points on your network. If you want to you can find the checks by doing a search on any policy using the policy editor for the word "wireless". The search I preformed returned 30 checks. This search will also answer you other question. You could also do a search on the vulnerability catalogue and get a return of 5 results. In this case the best answer for your question can be found by searching in a policy using the policy editor. These all relate to Internet Scanner 6.2 with ExpUpdate 5.1 Can Internet Scanner find wireless access points on the network? Do you have to be on the same subnet as the wireless access point in order to detect it? How does ISS determine if a device is a wap? Has ISS identified vulnerabilities for wap? and if so what are they named in the list of vulnerability checks? -- /-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/ Kimberly M.
