Much of this depends on how your backups are done, and your settings in SQL Server
manager. If you back up the SQL DB via a Scheduled Maintenance job you have an easy
option to do the transaction log also.

I suggest you examine enterprise manager and select the properties of your icecap DB.
This would let you adjust how much your DB and transaction log can grow, and how they
grow.

Hello all,

Using Icecap manager 3.1 eaj and SQL 7, win2kpro.
1. The questions are as follows, when backing up the icecap database can I
also backup the transaction log (there doesn;t appear to be a .ldf file).
2. Does the Icecap_log.mdf get backed up when backing up through SQL
3. Can the Icecap_log.mdf be increased or does it have to remain at the
default 1024kb

Regards

Craig
