First you need to make sure that the XPU files (including the latest
XPU_1_2.xml file) have been downloaded and placed in the proper locations
according to the readme which is available from the download center for the
XPU's.

Then right click on the SP Core component and choose edit properties.
Select the X-Press Update tab
DE-select the auto update check box.
then close the properties box.

Stop and restart the RealSecure SiteProtector Sensor Controller Service on
the Application server.

These steps will ensure that the XPU's you have locally will show up.

Things to watch out for:

The file structure that you must create under the update directory is case
sensitive so make sure that the directories are created exactly as
documented in the readme.txt.
The file names are case sensitive as well.
The auto download check box must NOT be checked for manual XPU's to work
properly.

How do I force, or configure SP to recognize a new update exists after I
manually download a XPU, and place it in the update/site_protector folder?

Thanks.
