Hi,

My experience is that for XPU 3.x, you do need to install every single xpu.
For example, if you are on XPU 3.1 and try to upgrade it directly to XPU
3.3, WGM won't recognise it until XPU 3.2 has been applied. However, this
behaviour has been changed since XPU 4.x and it will always go for the last
XPU which contains the cummulative XPUs of the previous 4.x XPUs.

OK, you're wrong <g>. Each XPU contains the signatures for the previous
XPU's in that line, so that XPU 4.4 for RS NS 6.5 contains everything found
in 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3. I have verified this on multiple sensors/consoles,
and this is the documented behavior from ISS.

Hmm.. I have doubt about your statement.
I think all XPUs are independent.
They contain independent event signatures...

Correct me if I am wrong.

I believe that any XPU will include every previous signature update since
the last SR. For RS NS 6.5, this means that the latest XPU (4.4) is the
only one you need to download; don't know for sure about 6.0.

Good afternoon:
I have two questions about Xpress Updates for Sensors. They are:
1) When downloading Xpress Updates, does it have to be done at the Master
console or can a remote console (under Master status) download it?
2) If doing an XPU download for the first time, will the more recent have
all of the new signatures up to this point? We are running RS 6.0,
however, it was installed earlier in the year, and no XPUs have been done.
Thanks for your input.
