Folks,

 

  You only need local administrator permissions to install the scanner software.  The Scanner software uses the permissions of the account that is used to logon to the domain.  Example if your account has Domain Admin permissions, then the Scanner will have Domain Admin permissions when scanning.  This is NOT recommended.  Use an account that has only logon permissions.

As far as I know, the scan just does not run.

To enter in known administrator accounts, you need to use the "Known Accounts" feature.

To do this, you can select "Tools, Edit Known Accounts" in the Internet Scanner console.

what happens, when running these scans, while not being logged in as a windows admin? get i a note that some scans are not

done? get i wrong results from the scan? ....
