Reinhard,

You may want to check if your webserver is running and if anonymous access is enabled on IIS.

Cheers,

Subject:        [ISSForum] Problem with Site Protector 2.0 Installation

Hello all

I have a question regarding the Site Protector 2.0 Basic installation.

I have a Windows 2003 Server with IIS 6.0 (allowed asp-pages) and
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 with SP2 and SP3.

The SQL 2000 Server is running (local) and the ISS Deployment Manager is
local installed (Access

via Web-Interface: http://server021/ISS/index.html).

After the inputs Site Name and Organisation (during the installation on
the StartBasicInstallSP.asp) does it start the
GroupSetupControllerBasic.exe

program (directory:  inetpub\wwwroot\iss\packages\ ). And then there is
another input question: "Please provide the deployment server
information requested below"

(IP address or DNS name) --> I tried different things: http://127.0.0.1
<http://127.0.0.1/> , 127.0.0.1, or NIC IP address, or http://server021
<http://server021/>  or server021

But It doesn't matter what my input is, every time it appears the same
error message: "HTTP connection failed. Please

make sure the name of the server is spelled correctly and that the
server is currently available".

I tried a lot of things, but every time I experience the same error!

Who knows this issue or the solution??

I appreciate every clue

Thanks in advance

Regards

Carel
