Thank you for the uninstall and reinstall info. I
tried this and it worked for my profile. However, I had created a couple
of other profiles (and generated then copied the keys). When I logged into
another profile the scanner would not launch. I tried deleting the windows
profile and then going through the process of re-creating the profile,
re-generating keys, and re-copying the keys. Still the scanner would not
launch. However, the scanner still does work in the installed
profile.
At this point, I am resolved to just wipe the machine and
start over due to a name change. Any suggestions for the future to
overcome the multiple Win Profile issues?

According to tech support the only way to rename is to uninstall and then
reinstall the product. Make sure that you follow the directions for
uninstalling as the automatic uninstall is not clean. You need to delete
some directories and registry entries to make sure that your reinstall will work
properly.

Paul

Subject: [ISSForum] Re-named machineHey all - sorry if this is a repeat but I searched through old stuff and did not find this particular issue. I am running just Internet Scanner without Site protector. I had everything working with 7.0 installed and updated to XPU13 (MSDE SP3).
Then, I had to rename the machine (WinXPPro). Since someone has probably gone through this before, I figured I'd ask for any advice you may have to get this working again before I try on my own. Something short of wiping the machine and reinstalling would be nice : )
