In your ASSETS tab CTRL-A to select all hosts. Then right click and choose the Update hosts option. This will update the information in the asset tab as well as in the sensor tab. You should see that the information changes in the alerting as well as reporting.
The other option is to start using the DNS names when adding new hosts. This should automatically populate the names instead of using the IP of the sensors. Either way you should be get the additional information you were requesting.
