Greetings. I just installed System Scanner Console 4.2.5, together with a Windows 2000 agent, on a machine running Windows XP. The installation process was flawless.
Apparently, such version already comes bundled with XPUs up to 3.0.7. I�m trying to upgrade it, installing XPUs from 3.0.8 on. However, I�ve been stumbling upon some odd problem, which seems to prevent me from installing any XPUs. I tried both installing from a network share and from the web (since the machine does have Internet access). When I try using the network share with the XPU repository (with all the corresponding .XPU�s and .INI�s), the following error is displayed to me, after selecting Update Number 8 and clicking Next: "An error occurred, Can�t authenticate the X-Press Updates. (208)" The only difference when I try installing from the web is that before displaying all the available versions, the following message is displayed: "A new version of the X-Press Update installer was found. This update needs to be installed before proceeding. Press OK to install the update. Press Cancel to exit X-Press Update." Naturally, I click OK, getting the list of updates, after a short while. After selecting Update Number 8, the same error as above is displayed. No matter how many times I try, it always shows the same behavior. I also tried installing all updates at once, that is, by selecting "Install all new X-Press Updates found".
