Dear All; I am working first time in my life on ISS. I installed proventia A 604 IDS sensors. Did the basic configuration. I can see my sensor in site protector and I can able to see security events coming from my span port of switch that is connected to one of the Ethernet port of my network sensor. Question; 1. How can I test that my IDS working properly? 2. How can I update my site protector or network sensor device? 3. What policy I can apply coz there are many polices some are applying some are failing. 4. What is the best practice for monitoring 4 segments (vlan) using proventia 604 (it has four monitoring ports).
