Install the RS DB on a normal SQL Server system first. Get the DB setup
and happy.

Backup the database

Restore the database to the cluster.

Repoint the ODBC on Site Protector to the cluster.

You may have to clean up some accounts. Be careful however. ISS allows
you to change the SQLserver logon account for most of the components
(Desktop Controller, Event Collector), but I was unable to find a way to
change the password for the application server.

Assuming all the accounts line up correctly and you repointed the ODBC
correctly - SP should purr along fine.

Subject: [ISSForum] SiteProtector Database on SQL Cluster

We are trying to cluster the SiteProtector database on
2 SQL 2000 clustered servers. The installation the database fails
because its trying to install it to the local server instead of the
virtual SQL server.

Does anyone have a procedure for this? I saw a document link in the
archives about this, but the link is dead. It mentioned installing on a
throwaway non-clustered machine first.

Thanks!
