No dont reinstall your sensors!!!!

If you have kept the same server name you can do as follows:

Copy the original RSSP keys back from one sensor and into your RSSP server key
directories. Its somewhat quicker than re-pushing your keys again.

Then try and add all your sensors again.

If you have changed the server name,

You will run the key utility from the deployment manager on you windows systems.
On your Unix and Proventia systems (guess what, the easy to use Proventia systems dont
cater for this situation and you must go in and hack as root) you will be running the
key_admin.sh script (its called something like this) and editing crypt.policy to allow
the first connecting key.

Then try and add all your sensors again.

Brad,

You have to redistribute all key and it will work.

Subject: [ISSForum] Registering preexisting sensors on a new install of
siteprotecto r.

Hello Everyone. I recently had to Reinstall Site Protector and was
wondering if it is possible for me just to reregister all of my
preexisting
sensors or will I need to reinstall them? When I try to Register them
now I
receive a message that the ISS Daemon is not started or that encryption
public keys have not been exchanged. Does anyone know if what I want to
do
is possible? Thanks for the help
