Derek, Please see KBA #1143: https://iss.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/iss.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1143
Make sure the NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation registry key is set to 0. Keep in mind if your Event Collector is not installed on the C drive, you will also have to remake the Program Files directory. To check to see if your Program Files directory has a short name created, from a command prompt of the drive your Event Collector is installed on, please run the following command: dir /x If it does properly have a short name, you should see it say something like this: 02/07/2005 11:30p <DIR> PROGRA~1 Program Files If you do not see the PROGRA~1, then you do not have a short name associated with that directory. To remake it after setting the registry key properly, simply recopy it like the KBA says to do for the ISS directory. > Date: Wed, 2 Feb 2005 21:12:54 +0800 > From: "Stewart, Derek" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: [ISSForum] Installation of Site Protector version 5.1 > > Guy's, > > I have tried to install a basic configuration of Site protector version > 5.1 on a windows 2003 server with all latest patches.
