I have ran into problems in the past and get the same response from tech support. It would be nice if they posted all known problems on their website. This would save everyone allot of time.

Is the agent you're installing it on online? Is it Not Responding? If it's an appliance can you access it through the LMI? Have you tried to reboot and / or restart the service on it to ensure it's correctly reporting to SP?
