Norbert, 2003 with SP1 is now supported as an installable platform. From what I can see, both the KBA and requirements document have been updated to reflect this information. I think it may have been erroneously left out of the XPU readme, most likely because it was not an XPU change that allowed this support. It was a result of testing that was done that determined that support for this install was feasible. We apologize if this has caused any confusion.

Either Knowledgebase Article 2644 (https://iss.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/iss.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqi d=2644 <https://iss.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/iss.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqi d=2644> ) naming Windows Server 2003 with SP1 as supported platform all of the sudden or the requirement page on ISS web server which is still not naming this OS (http://www.iss.net/products_services/enterprise_protection/vulnerabilit y_assessment/is_requirements.php) I'm wandering anyway, why ISS did hide this info (if it is true) just in the KBA without announcing it in the release note of the XPU which did have the change to be able to support this platform Windows Server 2003 with SP1. The change in the KBA was done on May14th as technical support did say, so maybe XPU 7.2.26 did have this undocumented change to support Windows Server 2003 with SP1. This is even more important with the knowledge that Microsoft will end the support for Windows XP SP1 on Oct. 10th so one platform of Internet Scanner will be gone soon. Thanks for any clarification, Norbert _______________________________________________ ISSForum mailing list [email protected] TO UNSUBSCRIBE OR CHANGE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION, go to https://atla-mm1.iss.net/mailman/listinfo/issforum To contact the ISSForum Moderator, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The ISSForum mailing list is hosted and managed by Internet Security Systems, 6303 Barfield Road, Atlanta, Georgia, USA 30328. _______________________________________________ ISSForum mailing list [email protected] TO UNSUBSCRIBE OR CHANGE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION, go to https://atla-mm1.iss.net/mailman/listinfo/issforum To contact the ISSForum Moderator, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The ISSForum mailing list is hosted and managed by Internet Security Systems, 6303 Barfield Road, Atlanta, Georgia, USA 30328.
