The redirect handler doesnt do the important check though (it did do it
before your original comment), its now already done outside it before you even
get it, the same way I was suggesting, which meant everything else changed was
unnecessary complexity.
Its basically still instantiating the same amount of stuff now (most of it
its just not done unless there is a redirect-to), but just split it up into
different places, making it a more complicated and verbose, and meaning a bunch
of unrelated code needed updated.
