This has already been discussed and rejected on ARTEMIS-2897. I see you
requested this to be re-evaluated in light of the changes from ARTEMIS-4056,
and while it's true those changes improved the situation the operation still
requires the queue to be locked briefly whereas that's not true for any of the
other metrics.
Can you elaborate on your use-case and why the existing metrics are not
sufficient for your needs?
