- detect that REST API response failed because user isn't authenticated.
Currently response is just a redirect, need something better.
- generate a special notification that tells user to log back in with a link
- link should include redirect back to this view once the user is logged in
- for Django apps, supply ErrorUtils function for checking if authentication is
needed
